Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Under the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA), we are required to honor universal opt-out mechanisms. We recognize and respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request. In Short: If you are a resident of Minnesota, the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information.
The MCDPA, effective July 31, 2025, provides Minnesota residents ("consumers") with the following rights regarding their personal data:
To submit a request to exercise these rights, please email [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days of receipt. The response period may be extended once by an additional 45 days. You may exercise these rights up to twice per year, free of charge.
Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system.
We honor universal opt-out mechanisms as required by the MCDPA. If your browser sends a recognized opt-out signal (such as Global Privacy Control), we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the MCDPA.
If we decline to take action regarding your request and you wish to appeal our decision, please email us at [email protected]. Within 45 days of receipt of an appeal, we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Minnesota Attorney General's Office to submit a complaint at ag.state.mn.us.
The Minnesota Attorney General has exclusive enforcement authority over the MCDPA, with penalties of up to $7,500 per violation.
Because BONDWOOD contracts with Minnesota K-12 school districts and other government entities, certain data maintained or provided in connection with those contracts may be subject to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act ("MGDPA"). To the extent we receive, maintain, or process government data on individuals through a contractual relationship with a government entity, we will maintain such data in accordance with the applicable classification and handling requirements of Minn. Stat. § 13.05, subd. 6.
BONDWOOD does not collect, store, or process individually identifiable student educational data. To the extent BONDWOOD functions as a "technology provider" under Minn. Stat. § 13.32, we commit to: using educational data only for the purpose of providing contracted services; not selling or transferring educational data to any third party; and destroying or returning educational data upon contract termination.
In Short: If a security breach occurs involving your personal information, we will notify you as required by Minnesota law.
In the event of a security breach involving the unencrypted personal information of Minnesota residents (as defined by Minn. Stat. § 325E.61 — name combined with Social Security number, driver's license number, or financial account credentials), we will disclose the breach in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay.
If a breach affects more than 500 individuals simultaneously, we will also notify nationwide consumer reporting agencies within 48 hours as required by law.
